I got this from Alan Lepofsky of Lotus/IBM fame (who SHOULD have a blog soon, hint hint Alan).

"Notes has a built in feature that will display (or print) the current version number.  The command line parameter is "notes -v filename".  If the optional filename parameter is not used, a dialog box will display with the Notes version string in it.  If the filename is used, then the version string will be printed to it."

Enjoy!
