Surely Template gets a plug!

There was a webcast recently on SearchDomino by Rob Axlerod, VP and Principal Technical Consultant at Technotics, Inc. Rob did a webcast on Domino Template and Design Management Across the Enterprise (you can still register and view it). It is actually a great webcast - Rob gives a ton of great performance and template management information in this webcast - so I would recommend it even without the next little tidbit, which makes it even more kewl....

During this webcast (at about 14:40 if you're interested :) ) Rob gives my little tool called Surely Template a great plug. He says,

There's a very cool way to do a few of these, particularly the replica IDs.... out on OpenNTF.org someone developed an absolutely awesome application for this process called Surely Template. It is a very bad pun but a very cool application.

[emphasis mine --rock]

He drives home his plug (and dislike for my pun ;) ) on slide 31:

Surely Template gets a plug in a webcast

So Rob, while I have never met you (and you don't know I created Surely Template), I appreciate your plug - and I'm glad the name at least caught your attention. That was the whole point of the name, to make it fun and memorable - and punny ;)

P.S. As a side note I want to thank Scott Good for bringing this to my attention. Scott, incidentally, is the person who came up with the logo and "look" for Surely Template. I have a horrid sense of style, and Scott has a great sense, so I told him what I wanted and he did a great job creating the logo and style for me.

Thanks, Scott.

Comments

1 - @Vegas - be there for sure with sticks in hand.
@OpenNTF - Thanks for the update Rock.

Over and out.

Bruce

2 - Well, maybe. If you ask nice.

Oh, wait. You did - twice.

OK, I will. In fact, I have been talking to Rob Axlerod about a new feature he'd like to see, so I may add that. I'll post about that, ok?

3 - Thanks for sharing this Rocky. I don't think that Surely Template is a bad pun at all.

On another note can you please take some time to update the Surely Template project area on OpenNTF. The last update was 4/14/2004. A simple note letting the community know that you are still thinking about this project would be wonderful.

4 - We didn't have jam sessions this year! Because of the light turnout, and with the elections happening, we figured that there just wouldn't be enough interest.

However, look for there to be jam sessions at the next event - June 2005 in Las Vegas.

Can we pencil you in on drums?

Oh, and I did update the project news on Surely Template.

Rock

5 - Excellent!!!!!!!! Your community awaits.

Thanks Rocky!

BTW - How were the Jam Sessions at Advisor?
