In case you missed it, Network World recently announced their winners of their "Best of the Test" Best Products 2008 Awards. They have many categories in which they judge, and collaboration is one of them. Well, IBM Lotus Sametime won for the Collaboration category! I wanted to take a moment to congratulate Adam Gartenberg, Dave Marshak, and the rest of the Sametime team. They continue to improve an exceptional collaboration product, and they have every right to be proud - and it is even greater that others are beginning to take notice of how great Lotus Sametime truly is.

Best of the Tests distinction: 2008 marks the 10th anniversary of Lotus Sametime, and the product's maturity showed in its score -- the highest awarded for the year. Sametime has superior messaging capabilities, a high level of integration with other applications, ease of use, scalability and excellent security. Tester Nance called Sametime "a feature-rich environment for network-based collaboration and conferencing [that is] child's play to use because of its user-oriented conveniences."

Good job, Sametime team. You rock!
