Blogsphere 2.5.1 is now available. It contains some nice fixes, and better comment spam funtionality. I also snuck in a couple of fixes - mainly around RSS feed validation.

I have downloaded it and upgraded, and it went without a hitch. I strongly recommend the Blogsphere users out there to upgrade, especially if you're lower than 2.5 - it is definitely worth it.

Oh, and if you haven't noticed, my Download feature in there as well. You can see some of it on the right over there in my blog - the "Latest Downloads" block. We're talking about ways to greatly enhance that feature, so stay tuned.

1 - Paola - Get one of the two main open source blog templates - Blogsphere and DominoBlog are the two most popular. This site is on Blogsphere, sites like Ed Brill's and John Head's are on DominoBlog. Then read the help, follow the installation instructions, and start configuring. Ask questions of other bloggers using the type of blog template you choose, or better yet ask at the blog template's "home" sites ( like http://www.dominoblog.com/ or http://www.blogsphere.net ). Keep tweaking the design and testing until you get what you want, then simply start blogging! If you want you can tell people you know about your blog to get folks to notice - but don't contact people you don't know simply to get them to add you to their blogrolls - most bloggers don't like that. You can, however, display the Lotus Geek button and I'll add you to my Lotus Geek Honor Roll. You should also go to http://www.dominoblogs.com and register yourself there.

That should get you started. Anyone else have some suggestions?

Good luck!

2 - Hi Rock thanks a lot!

3 - Hi Rocky,
this is more of a question rather than acomment to your post. I'm very interested in setting up a blog (with tags, RSSS feeds, and basic functionality) using Lotus Notes. What do you suggest me to do?
Thanks Much!
Paola
