On an upgrade day
Feeling like a treadmill rat
What version is this?
Or how about:
Cerificates are
expiring in users
I hide at the beach
So, now that Libby needs to cheering up, I thought we could help her as she has helped me and others in the past. This is your time to show off your geek creativity and produce a work of literary art: a Lotus Haiku. Welcome to the First Annual Libby Ingrassia Lotus Haiku Contest. In case you're a bit rusty on what a haiku really is, let me remind you:
"Haiku is one of the most important form of traditional japanese poetry. Haiku is, today, a 17-syllable verse form consisting of three metrical units of 5, 7, and 5 syllables."
--from Haiku for People
So, put on your creativity beanies and show off you geek creativity! First prize? The love and admiration of your friends, and especially Libby.
Have fun!

LotusScript endures
Java's siren call ignored
The evil we know
Relational?
Notes relational?
Answering the plaintive whine
Coming: DB2

Is the end of Notes in sight?
Hey, was that Elvis?

So, how about coming back, say, this time next year and tell me what you think?
Just to get you all excited, here's a preview of what you'll get to experience over the next year!

And since we all love sequels, here ya go:

No, I won't be at Lotusphere.
And now, my contributions:
Notes is not Outlook
One does more than the other
Sending viruses
User is crying
Select - delete - F9 - Yes
Think before you act
Yes Notes is quirky
But its not from Microsoft
And so to be loved
Computer-related, but not Notes, per se:
Black screen. Cursor mocks
Your solution will be found
With pen and paper

Morning comes, I check my mail
And once again, I'm mired.
Notes is running slow again --
But wait -- what's that: retired?
No more alphabetic calls
To random databases,
Like AKL_MAIL in New Zealand
And other silly places.
No more random document names
That really toasts my noodle --
Instead we can use web pages
And search them all with Google*!
No more endless lightning bolts
As server hits drag on
My Outlook's fresh and new this day
And Lotus Notes is gone!

Whoops, me no replicatey.
Libby... when you are feeling blue, remember, you managed to get 24 (at the moment) people to sit down and tap out syllables on their fingers as they write.
(don't even tell me you didn't all do it.)
Is 'whoops' one syllable or two? Don't laugh. This is what comes about from taking 10 minutes to count syllables.
My vote so far is Wolfgang's. Too great!!
