New Orleans and Gulf Coast - you're in our thoughts

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that the people of New Orleans and the surrounding area are about to experience their worst nightmare - a Category 5 Hurricane directly hitting the city of over one million residents that exists up to 3 meters under sea level. This is the worst-case scenario, come to life, for New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina will make landfall sometime tonight, bringing winds of over 175MPH spread over a 105 mile swath, and a storm surge over 20 feet tall.
Simply put, New Orleans is about to be devastated.
I want anyone reading this from the New Orleans and Gulf Coast area to know that you are in my and my family's thoughts, and we hope you all make it through safe and sound.
I will be giving blood tomorrow just to help; I encourage others to do so, and/or to give what you can to the Red Cross.
Take care, New Orleans and the Gulf Coast - and get to higher ground.
