I am still way busy, but I wanted to take a few moments to let you know about a new initiative in which I was asked to participate. It is called IBM Shortcuts, which is a series of podcasts on various topics. These podcasts are targeted towards the general public, and not so much the geek contingent - therefore the topics will be wide-ranging and appealing to a broad audience.

I am honored to be the first shortcut podcast offered, where I offer advice on avoiding and removing spyware and malware. I know that I have one or two more coming out, and our own (in)famous Alan Lepofsky also has a  few upcoming podcasts as well.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Update: Alan gives a great description of IBM Shortcuts here.

1 - Shortcuts is a great program. And your first entry is a great way to show people, what they can do. Thanks a lot for that.

2 - @Rock,

First off great podcast. Secondly are the two programs you mentioned free for use inside an organization such as IBM or do they have to be purchased?

3 - On the Spyware front I'm going to take a look at "PC Tools Spyware Doctor 3.8" which costs money but rates very highly in uk review(s) here's one: http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/88762/pc-tools-spyware-doctor-38.html

Also I've installed free software from http://www.siteadvisor.com which attempts to rate the safety of web pages you visit or search for using Google, MSN and Yahoo. I like it....
